Kim R. Meyers

Mr. Meyers has been practicing as an attorney for over 24 years. He holds the prestigious Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Rating of A.V. which is the highest attorney rating awarded for legal ability and ethical standards. He is licensed to practice law in Ohio, Arizona and Washington, D.C. In addition, he is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court and the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Over the past 24 years, he has litigated civil cases in numerous jurisdictions on county, state and federal levels.

He has extensive experience in civil litigation, which includes jury trials, arbitration, mediation and Appellate litigation. Kim has concentrated his practice in the areas of insurance law, school law, municipal law, employment law, personal injury, wrongful death, business law, public record law and probate law. He has provided a variety of services for public school districts and municipalities, which include labor and employment issues, grievances, arbitrations, SERB and unfair labor practice matters, employee and student disciplinary matters and collective bargaining negotiations. He also assists public entities with matters pertaining to Ohio Sunshine Law, Public Records Act, Open Meetings Act, Public Record Retention and privacy matters.

Kim is a member of the Ohio, Arizona, Washington D.C., Lorain County, Cuyahoga County and American Bar Associations. He served as the President of the Lorain County Bar Association from 2005-2006 and has been a member of the Lorain County Bar Association Executive Committee from 1998-2008. He is a graduate of Leadership Lorain County and has been a member of that organization from 1991-2008. He has been a member of the Ohio Counsel of School Board Attorneys from 2003-2008. Kim has been a frequent speaker and presenter at Continuing Education seminars for the Bar Association and school districts.

Kim has been actively involved in southern Lorain County and the Wellington area. He has been a member of the Wellington Kiwanis Club since 1995 and served as the Club’s President from 2001-2002. He also served as the Kiwanis Lt. Governor for the Ohio District Division 13 from 2002-2003. He currently serves as a Director on the Lorain County Fair Board and is a member of the Lorain County 4-H Endowment Board. He has been a long-time supporter of 4-H and youth projects.

Kim, his wife and three children have lived in the Wellington area for the past 16 years. He works out of both of the firm locations; however, his main office is located in Wellington.
